Who we are

About me

My name is James Rhodes. I am the lead installer and owner of Rhodes Handyman Service. My wife and I relocated from West Virginia to Lake Mary Florida in 2016 and have been serving Seminole county since that time. Prior to our move, I was a property manager for a large-scale rental company. Before that I worked in almost every trade in general residential construction since the age of 17. To maintain excellence for my clients, I strive to learn something new every day through training and certification courses in flooring and tile installation, waterproofing methods for showers, thin sets and grouts etc. I treat every job like it is being done on my own house and every client with the utmost respect. With my mom as my assistant, I would not be allowed to act any other way. My wife and I have 2 beautiful daughters which we try to teach the values we instill every day on the job. (Our younger daughter is already showing an interest in the tools I use every day).

Large remodels are one of the most stressful things you can do in your adult life. We handle everything with you to make this process as pain free as possible including design assistance, 3D rendering of your space, material acquisition and the contacts for our trusted suppliers, planning and execution of the project. We also offer financing for those large projects that are not planned for but need done immediately. (Water damage and insurance claims being the number one culprit)

We bring in only trusted, licensed sub-contractors for the major plumbing and electrical along with an Amazing Dust free demolition crew to prep the project for our arrival (basically eliminating dust and foreign contaminates from your home), handling every job like it’s our own home and install all materials to manufacturers recommendations to protect the warranty of said products.
We only use premium materials, that have a long record of being the industry standard, for all the applications and we apply them to.
